A very muddy Shopwyke Lakes!

We have carried out several phases of works at the CALA Homes development Shopwyke Lakes in Chichester.

We returned to site to carry out piling works for man holes in preparation for drainage works.

Weather conditions and the lack of access roads meant that the site had quickly become a quagmire which made traversing across site increasingly difficult.   We had remote working stations set up at various locations across the site to enable our Klemm 708 rig to install 3 No. 300mm diameter CFA piles to 19m deep for each manhole and 5 piles for a new sub-station.

As the ground was poor, we hired in a specialist SCOUT 5500 rough terrain 4×4 concrete mixer truck.  It was a serious bit of kit which enabled us to transport the concrete to the various locations on site without getting stuck in the mud!

You can find out more about our Klemm 708 and all our other rigs in our Technical Resources section.
