It was a hard slog, but with the cheers of the crowd and the determination to beat the guy in the gorilla suit, I got there in the end!
The London Marathon is a truly fantastic event, filled with emotion and pride knowing that each and every one of us is raising money for a charity that has personally touched us.
We surpassed our original target of £5,000. And then proceeded to smash our increased target of £7,500, and as of this morning have raised a staggering £8,157!
I really couldn’t have done this without each and every one of you.
I can’t begin to express just how much of a difference it meant knowing that you were rooting for me (even if it was from in front of the TV with your feet up!).
