We returned to this site for a 3rd visit in March 2018. On previous visits we had installed 450mm dia piles with our Soilmec SF30 for housing and 300mm dia piles with our Klemm 708 for manholes.
Amazingly 3no piles 18m long were used for each manhole base! The Klemm 708 rig was used for these to avoid the installation of a costly designed piling mat.
This current phase included 350mm and 450mm dia CFA piles to 25m in depth for the construction of the new apartment block, all constructed with the Soilmec SF50 piling rig. During the works difficult weather conditions closed the site for 2 days as the Beast from the East hit!
