Basement Secant Wall

CFA secant wall piles for this project in Wimbledon using our Soilmec SF55 rig.  These were 600mm diameter with male piles at 850mm centres. Generally the retained height was 5.15 metres, but in places was as much as 8.2 metres.

One of the key factors of forming a secant wall is the correct construction of the concrete guide wall to ensure the piles maintain their ‘bite’ .

Preparation of all temporary works on piling sites is a key ingredient to success!
