Our newly designed and built B15000 restricted access CFA rig was the perfect fit for this project which involved constructing 48no 300mm dia CFA piles to 7.5m long and construction of the reinforced concrete ground beams.

Working adjacent to the main trainline into Reading, the use of the low headroom piling rig removed the requirement for detailed liaison with network rail.

Upon observing the soils coming out of the pile bores we were able to query the requirement for a voidformer below the beams which was subsequently omitted enabling us to pass financial and time savings onto our client.

Works are ongoing commencing mid March 2018 and are expected to be complete before the end of April 2018.

The project was carried out for Launchpad Reading which exist to provide new homes and aid for the homeless in Reading.
